Unspoken Tales Is A New Mobile Gaming Company That Wants To Focus On The Hardcore Gamer

Games have been getting better and better when it comes to the gaming experiences you can have on mobile devices today. Gaming on smartphones and tablets is fast closing the gap that we see between Consoles/PC, and Mobile. With plenty of AAA titles already available on iOS and Android, there is less of a reason not to enjoy some good old fashioned gaming sessions on your mobile devices, compared to a few short years ago when truly great, in depth hardcore games were few and far between and hard to come by. A new gaming company called Unspoken Tales, who has Ex-Googler Patrick Mork(the global marketing director for Google Play)at the helm, wants to bring excellent quality and story driven, hardcore games to Android and mobile. They want to take the attention of the hardcore gamer and bring some of it over to the mobile space. Their mission is to provide great quality, hardcore games that can be played on tablets and smartphones.

With technology ever advancing in the ways we can stream content to the big screen, playing mobile games on bigger displays will mean that you won’t have to settle for playing a great quality game on android, on a smaller display. This is all the more reason to bring some hardcore games to the mobile space, because they can be enjoyed on the go or on the big screen at home with tools like miracast dongles, micro HDMI cables, and hopefully soon with Chromecast support on major titles.

The Unspoken Tales team is comprised of members who all have some background in gaming, including Alessandro Tento who is the former VP of Art Development and founder/GM of Activision’s Shanghai studio. Tento has an extensive background in gaming and worked on many of the most popular franchises that came out under the Activision name like Call of Duty and Guitar Hero. With such people on the team, there are bound to be some great games that make their way to mobile in the future. Mork says that him and Unspoken Tales have a vision for creating games that are rich and engaging, being made up of things that focus heavily on content that have strong stories and Role-Playing elements and gameplay. I have to agree with Mork on this one, as RPG games or titles with heavy RPG influences are some of the most fun, especially because of the story and complexity of the content that immerses you. Right now Unspoken Tales does have a game that they are working on that is at the least in the idea stages, in preparation to start developing the game. The general theme of the game they’re working on would play like something that is along the lines of big name titles on consoles that have heavy RPG elements. Think Final Fantasy. It all sounds very appealing, although we’ll have quite a wait before something comes along from Unspoken Tales as the first debut title isn’t scheduled to be launched until sometime in 2016.
