There’s been so many leaks about the HTC M8, or HTC One already. That when it comes time for HTC’s event on March 25th, they won’t have anything new to show us. We’ve seen our second hands-on review earlier this morning, and now we’re looking at another leak, this time coming from Phonearena which seems to confirm that the All New HTC One is going to have wireless charging.
Well their source didn’t exactly say that the HTC One is getting wireless charging, but they did send over all the sound files that are in the HTC One M8. And there is a file in there that is a second-long “Wireless Charging Started” .ogg file. Which pretty much confirms that it’s coming on the HTC One, unless they decide to give that as an exclusive to a carrier like LG did with Verizon’s G2 last year. I still don’t understand why. Of course, this isn’t really confirmed, and we’ll have to wait for March 25th, but it seems pretty likely to be confirmed.
We are now just 15 days away from the HTC One unveil, which they are doing a joint event in London and New York City, like they did last year. We’ll be sure to cover it in-depth as we always do and make sure our readers have all the answers to their questions. As far as specs go, we’re expecting a 5-inch 1080p display, 2GB of RAM, Snapdragon 801 processor, and the dual cameras on the back. We’ll have to wait for March 25th to get the official specs though.
It appears that HTC has a few people that are willing to breach their NDA’s they signed with HTC to leak out these videos. I bet they’ll have some new employees pretty soon if this keeps up. For those interested, the sounds for the M8 are in a zip file in the source link below. It’s about 25.9MB in size.
