ZTE Grand S EXT Press Images Leak Out

ZTE’s latest smartphone, the Grand S EXT has just leaked out, and ahead of any kind of official announcement. These images have shown up on Red-Dot 21 design directory, and really show how great of a phone the Grand S EXT is going to be, and yes that’s the actual name of the smartphone, the ZTE Grand S EXT. I have no idea why they named it that, but they did. Feel free to leave jokes about it in the comments below.

Quickly looking around the device, we can see the headphone jack is on the top with the volume rocker and power button on the left side and the SIM card slot on the right. Which means the microUSB port is probably on the bottom of the device. Additionally, looking at the first image – above – it looks like its running KitKat. As you can see the icons in the status bar are now white. Previously on ZTE phones they were blue, like Holo Blue. Additionally, we’re being told that the Grand S EXT is the first smartphone in 2014 to use the Nano Molding Technology, also known as NMT. So what exactly does that mean? Well basically it means that the body is made of plastic and metal and that were injection molded together.

The Grand S EXT looks like a really nice device, with the white and black color scheme and such. Even with the curved back, which I did like on the Moto X and HTC One. The text from Red-Dot 21 also states that there is a smart dock with wireless charging, but there’s nothing about the specs of the device. We all know that ZTE has been trying to make a push into the US, and if they release this in the US, I think it’d do quite well. Hopefully we’ll learn more about the Grand S EXT very soon, but I’m excited about it.
