Amazon may not be looking to bring consumers their very own wearable device, not yet anyways. Who knows what the future holds. For now it seems that they’re content with just bringing us a great and easy place to find all the kinds of wearables that any one person might be interested in. Today Amazon has launched a new store that is dedicated solely to wearable technology, promising an easy experience for the consumers to narrow down products that may or may not be right for them and finally come to a decision on the wearable you might spend the next couple years with. This new store promises all kinds of wearables, from fitness trackers to smartwatches, wearable cameras and others.
If you’re interested in grabbing the Gear 2 or Gear 2 Neo, the likely place to find one of those on Amazon would be under the new and featured products section. Of course you could always just do a search as well from the top bar, but if you like the organization of finding everything in the store in precise categories than it’s worth a look. The Amazon Wearable Tech store even has a featured brand section which looks like it could change daily or weekly. At any rate it will change after a short period of time then jump to another featured brand that focuses that seems to be already popular with consumers. You won’t find your Amazon Fire TV or Chromecast dongles here, but those are only a couple clicks away.
Amazon knows that wearable technology is shaping the future of how we use our devices, and they’re just as excited as we are to see what’s coming and be at the center of it all. John Nemeth who is Amazon’s director of Wireless and Mobile Electronics says that “Wearable technology is an exciting category with rapid innovation and our customers are increasingly coming to Amazon to shop and learn about these devices, and We’re thrilled to bring our customers a store with the largest selection and great prices that helps eliminate the guesswork when deciding which wearable devices best fit their needs — whether that is tracking activity, staying connected through smart watches, or capturing their next adventure with wearable cameras.” Two other sections that highlight the front page of the store are the coming soon section, which focuses on new and upcoming wearable tech that has yet to be released, and the Editor’s Corner which give insightful details and information on wearable tech.
