Android App Updates April 18th, 2014: Flickr, Beats Music, Photoshop and More

Flickr Redesigns in version 3.0

This week, Flickr got a new update to their Android and iOS apps. They brought in a fresh new redesign as well. Here’s all of what’s changed: Capture and edit up to 30 seconds of HD video, using the same live filters available for photos, directly in the app; Smarter and faster search experience – it could take up to three seconds per search in the past… now it; takes 30 milliseconds; Simpler navigation tools and a redesigned photostream that makes it even easier to share to Twitter, Tumblr, and Facebook; Detailed photo data to find out where the photo was taken, which camera and lens were used to create each shot, and more.

Samsung WatchON Hits the Play Store

It looks like Samsung is slowly, but surely caving into pushing their apps into the Play Store. This week, they pushed the WatchON app into the Play Store and it’s now available for the Samsung Galaxy S5. WatchON is the remote for your TV as well as a full-blown TV guide. Which is great for those that don’t know what they want to watch.

Beats Music Gets Updated

This week, Beats Music also got a nice update. For those interested, here is the full changelog: A brand spanking new widget; Find Your Friends  feature lets you find and follow your Facebook friends on Beats Music; Ability to link and unlink your Twitter and Facebook accounts; New tracks available in The Sentence; Offline Mode & Downloading improvements; Player fixes; Much, much more!

Adobe Photoshop Express

Photoshop Express was also updated this week, it added a few new features to the app, which are outlined in the picture above. So now you can edit your photos on your smartphone or tablet a bit easier and faster. Not bad of an idea, right?

Motorola Migrate Updates again

Motorola also updated Migrate this week. This is their app that allows you to transfer data from your old device to your new Moto X or Moto G. It allows you to transfer over contacts, sms, call logs, and much more. Here’s the post from Motorola:

We’re happy to announce a new release of Motorola Migrate!  Migrate 1.4 introduces support for QR pairing from phones with fixed focus imagers, plus a handful of bug fixes, most notably improved scanning for people migrating from the Xperia U.
