When Google released Android 4.2.2 with the Nexus 4 back in late 2012, one of the “features” of that version of Jelly Bean was hiding the Developer Options. Which a lot of people weren’t happy about. But it was a good move for Google. Why? Well because not everyone needs to mess with Developer Options. Think about your parents or even Grandparents, do they really need to enable USB Debugging, or mess with any of those options on the device? Probably not. So hiding them was a great idea by Google. And finding them really isn’t hard to do – in fact it’s the same way on every device – however, we constantly get emails about how to find the Developer options so here it goes.
First you’re going to jump into the settings and Find “About Device” Now you’re going to scroll down to the bottom where the “Build Number” is. It’ll be grayed out, but that doesn’t matter. Just tap that nine times, and you’ll get a message that you are now a developer. Go back into the normal settings screen and you should see “Developer Options” above the “About Device” section. It’s just that easy.
