We may soon see some advancements and more to come for devices that run the Chrome OS as Google and Intel have reportedly set up an event for the month of May that will be centered around the Chrome OS platform. The event could be about many things that have to do with Chrome OS, from new technology coming to Chromebooks to new Chrome OS features and more. Google is reportedly sending out invites for the event that is to take place on May 6th, which is being hosted in none other than San Francisco, a common favorite locale for Google which is also the location of the annual Google I/O developers conference coming up at the end of June.
Both Intel and Google will have various speakers to go over likely a range of topics about Chrome OS, but since Intel is there we can assume that it will have something to do with potential new Chips for upcoming products. We may even some new offerings at the event, or at least hear about them. According to 9 t0 5 Google, both Google’s VP of product management and Intel’s VP of the Mobile Computing group are set to take stage(we’re just assuming there’s a stage, who really knows) and talk about new things to come. This is likely a great possibility as the invite seems to mention that there will be demos going on to show off some of the new Chrome products.
Intel has multiple partners for use of its chips inside Chrome products and other devices and it’s also stated that there will be updated information in regards to those partners as well. If you are someone who has received an invite to this event that is due to take place in about a week, it sounds like there will be some time set aside to ask questions to some of the major speakers, which should end up producing some great information for those who attend. While at this point in time it’s not exactly known what we’ll see there, but whatever it is it sounds exciting. Chrome products are doing fairly well and we love to see more new stuff come from Google and other OEMs and companies in this particular area.
