More Details Emerge About the HTC One M8 Ace

HTC seems ready to almost follow in Samsung’s footprints. What I mean is pushing out other variants of their flagship. Last year, Samsung put our 3 other variants of the Galaxy S4. That was the Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy S4 Mini and the Galaxy S4 Zoom. In addition to the Galaxy S4 with a Snapdragon 800 processor in Korea. Last year, HTC only put out the HTC One Mini and Max, which were pretty good devices in their own right. I was actually in love with the HTC One Mini. Which we are expecting HTC to do the same thing this year with the HTC One M8. But we’ve also been hearing about the HTC One M8 Ace, whatever that is supposed to be. However, Engadget has some more details now on this new smartphone.

According to Engadget it’ll have a plastic unibody case. As Android Central points out, it’ll be like a mixture of the HTC One M8 and the Desire 610. It’ll also be sporting a 5-inch 1080p display, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz. These specs are supposed to rival the Samsung Galaxy S5, and so far they do. It’s going to be a rather interesting device, but what’s even more interesting is the price. According to Engadget, HTC is looking to price the Ace at ¥3,000 which translates to about $480 USD. Which is a pretty good price for a smartphone with these specs. Not as cheap as the OnePlus One, but definitely cheaper than most other flagships.

This could also be the next generation Butterfly, which has done well for HTC over in Japan. And the Butterfly has always been higher specced than the HTC One, which is kind of sad. It also doesn’t have the UltraPixel camera, instead a 13MP camera in the upcoming Butterfly. Which is something I would have liked to see in the HTC One M8.
