Featured Review: Seidio's LEDGER Flip Case for the HTC One (M8)

Time to take a break from all the Samsung Galaxy S5 coverage right now and take a look at the HTC One (M8). Today, we’re taking a look at one of Seidio’s cases for the HTC One (M8), which would be the LEDGER Flip Case, with a built-in kickstand. Now you’ve probably guessed that I love this case due to the kickstand on the back. There’s a bit of a story to that as well. Ever since the HTC EVO 4G on Sprint back in the day, I’ve loved kickstands. It makes it so much easier for watching video, movies, and everything in between. So just about every case with a kickstand I’m willing to try. The LEDGER case has a kickstand in the back and it is also a flip cover. It’s a pretty nice one actually. The back is a soft touch plastic and is black. While the front is red. Now the only real downside I see to this case, is that it doesn’t have the auto wake/sleep function. Meaning when you Open it, it doesn’t just turn on by itself.

It’s a really nice looking case, and it feels great as well in the hand. There are cut outs for the front-facing speakers, as well as the volume rocker, microUSB port, headphone jack, power button, IR Blaster and the camera on the back. However, it’s a pain using this to take pictures. Similar to the HTC Dot View case, it’s pretty tough to take pictures since it folds back and gets in the way of the camera. But still doable. Just letting the front hang down while you take pictures.

The LEDGER Flip Case is available from Seidio in both gray and red. It’s also available for $39.95, if you’re looking to pick one up. However, they are also on Amazon ranging between $30.99 and $34.99, if you want to save a few bucks. This is definitely a case that I would recommend to anyone out there with a HTC One (M8).
