There’s around 2 dozen books for half-off, many of which are best sellers like The Goldfinch and are available for just a few bucks since they are half off. These books are offered through Google Books which means you can read them on pretty much any device out there including your phone, tablet or computer.
What’s more is that there are a selection of around a half dozen magazines offered for $5 off a yearly subscription price, making each magazine around $2 per issue. While the Nexus 7 is prominently featured on the sale page, it doesn’t appear that Google has actually placed the tablet on sale for this promotion, rather is just trying to get it front and center to read these books and magazines on. Why not too, since the tablet is super cheap as it is and is easily the best smaller tablet you can buy.
