Google is rolling out v3.4 of the Google Search app. Which is a staged rollout, so you know the drill. And before you ask, yes we have the APK linked down below, thanks to the guys over at Android Police. So far they haven’t done a teardown of the app just yet, but we do know that Google has added a parking card to Google Now. There is automatic parking detection in this update, and the card basically shows you where you parked. Which is going to be a life saver for a lot of people. I know I often forget where I parked when I go places.
As far as the changelog goes, here it is: “New parking card in Google Now, New reminders interface with better arrangement of past reminders, Set nicknames for contacts”. So now we have better arrangement of past reminders which is nice to have definitely, and also being able to set nicknames for contacts. We will likely see a teardown soon for the new Google Search app, which we’ll be sure to post later on. But as far as we know, this is everything that’s new in the Google Search update.
For those interested in the APK, to install it now, we have it available on our Android File Host account – link down below. For those that have never updated an app this way, all you need to do is download the APK, place it on your device. Then open it up, and go through the install process and you’re all set. You’ll need to be sure that Unknown Sources are checked (by going into Settings > Security > Unknown Sources). It’s just that easy. How many of you are liking the update to Google Search here? Be sure to let us know in the comments below.
