Huawei Ascend P7 Leaked, Offers A 5 inch 1080p Display And 13 MP Camera

Reputed leakster @evleaks is at it again, doing what he does best – providing us juicy bits on upcoming goodies in the Android world. In the latest snoop, the leakster has tweeted about the next iteration to Huawei’s Ascend P6, unoriginally named the Huawei Ascend P7. The Chinese manufacturer Huawei has been trying to make its mark in the premium devices niche, however it has been outsold so far by the incumbent Xiaomi. However, it seems the competition amongst the Chinese manufacturers is heating up. If what @evleaks tells us is true, then Huawei has set its sights on giving users a major upgrade vis- -vis their last years’ offering – the Ascend P6.

In terms of specifications, the Huawei Ascend P7 appears to carry decent specs, as expected of a 2014 flagship. Comparing it to last years’ Huawei Ascend P6, the P7 carries an upgrade in almost all hardware components. The screen size has been bumped from 4.7 inches on the P6 to 5 inches on the P7, while the display resolution has also gone up to 1080p full-HD. The processor has seen a bump from 1.5 GHz to a quad-core Kirin 910T processor clocked at 1.8 GHz, with an ample 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage which is expandable thanks to the in-built MicroSD card slot. The cameras have seen a major bump up, the primary camera has been bumped up to 13 mega pixels (MP) from 8 MP on the P6, whereas the secondary video call and ‘selfie’ camera has gone up to a respectable 8 MP from 5 MP. The battery has not been forgotten and sees a bump up from 2000 mAh to 2500 mAh. The best aspect however, is all of this gets packaged in a sub-7 mm thick body, which would definitely make the Ascend P7 a sleek and stylish device.

Even @evleaks is of the opinion that in terms of looks, the Ascend P7 seems like a slightly bigger Huawei Ascend P6, though the leakster has not given us any leaked image of the device. Though, as of yet, there is no launch date available for the P7, though we can expect more leaks to come in within the next couple of months and the device could be launched somewhere in July 2014, after all that was the time-frame when last year the Ascend P6 was launched. All in all, let’s wait and watch.
