Earlier today, LG sent out invites for their event on May 27th. Now we’re getting an invite from Motorola for their own event on May 13th live from London. We aren’t really sure what Motorola is going to be announcing at this event. Unlike last year, there haven’t been many leaks for Motorola’s upcoming smartphones. Last year, we were getting a leak for the Moto X just about every day. Motorola might be announcing the new Moto X, or an even cheaper Moto G – which has been rumored to be the Moto E. But the event is in London, so we know it’s not a device just for the US, like the new lineup of DROIDs for Verizon.
The tagline on the invite reads, “Connect more people to the world’s information and each other, they can do great things. Introducing the next smartphone from Motorola to make these connections happen. Made to last. Priced for all.”
Judging by that last line, “Priced for all.” it sounds like we’re looking at the Moto E being announced or a successor to the Moto G. Since the Moto X really wasn’t priced for all, at least not when it was first announced. Shortly after that it became pretty cheap.
Nonetheless, whatever Motorola announces in about two weeks time, we’ll be covering live as we always do. So make sure you keep it locked on Androidheadlines.com for all the latest and greatest from Motorola. Remember that these devices this year were still made under Google’s ownership – in fact the Lenovo buyout hasn’t even gone through just yet – so we are probably looking at stock Android and some great hardware.
