Must have Football Apps for Android

With new technological advances happening every minute of the day, keeping up to date with the latest in play matches seems like such a generic task. This is reality. With different apps that cover a variety of aspects involving football, it provides fans with the chance to maintain the most accurate minute-by-minute account of different games.

Live Score Addicts – Free

This app has been updated for the new football season and now covers even more leagues across the world. It also now has an iPad version, which is nicely designed for the larger screen. With extreme amounts of detail and all manner of customisable notifications, Live Score Addicts will keep you in touch with the game when you can’t get near a TV. This app also has links to the latest World Cup betting tips, meaning you can keep tabs on the most up to date odds.

ESPNFC – Free

Like Sky, ESPN offers more than one app to supplement its football coverage. ESPN Goals provides video clips of every Premier League goal, whereas this app – formerly known as ESPN Soccernet – is a vast trove of news, results and tables from football leagues across the world.

Football League Official Clubs App – Free

The Premier League is not the be-all and end-all of football in this country, there’s a whole Football League out there and this app covers most of it. The basic version has news, scores, player profiles and all the data one would expert but for a small subscription fee you can unlock video highlights, interviews, stadium maps and more.

Sky Sports Live Football Score Centre – Free

The Sky Sports score centre app offers an unrivalled service when it comes to live coverage of the World’s football results and scores. It features a well-updated live Vidiprinter, live commentary, photos and betting odds. It also provides in depth stats and comprehensive line-ups and analysis, as well as live league tables throughout games.

Sun+ Goals – free

The ESPN goals app proved particularly popular last season, not least because it allowed speedy access to clips of goals at no cost.

Those clip rights were snapped up by The Sun and The Times this year, and to check out the critical moments of Premier League games you will need a subscription to climb over the newspaper paywall. It’s an interesting additional content idea, and it will be fascinating to see if it soars.
