I’ve got to admit, when this story came across my radar, I was pretty shocked. We’re used to AT&T and Sprint answering back to T-Mobile when they drop prices, but Verizon is normally last. Not this time around. Verizon has announced that they are giving everyone an extra gig of data on tablets that are activated on the More Everything plans. So if you have a More Everything plan already, and buy a Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 or LG G Pad 8.3 LTE versions from Verizon, you can get 1GB of data for free. Unlike T-Mobile who is giving you 1.2GB of data for free each month for the rest of the year – then it drops to 200MB per month. Verizon is giving you this 1GB of data each month for the entire time you keep the tablet activated on your plan. Which is a great deal, in my opinion.
So far, Verizon has only announced it on Twitter and haven’t put out a press release just yet. So it’s looking like this is something that Verizon just randomly threw out this afternoon to answer back to T-Mobile’s announcement this morning. We’ll likely see a press release come out from Verizon later this afternoon. Once it’s out and available, we’ll be sure to update this post with the press release and more details on the plan. Nonetheless, it’s also a pretty awesome plan for those on Verizon, especially those already with a More Everything plan on Verizon.
If you’ve been looking for a reason to grab the Galaxy NotePRO 12.2, Nexus 7 2013, or the LG G Pad 8.3 on Verizon, here’s a great reason right here. All three of those tablets are pretty great choices. How many of you are going to pick up a tablet from Verizon in the near future to take part of this plan from Verizon?
