We’ve been waiting on Android 4.4.3 for quite a while. It was supposedly being released a few weeks ago, but it was pulled. Now Google has added the Changelog into AOSP, which details all the new changes since the initial Android 4.4 KitKat update. The changelog is pretty long, and can be found here. We won’t go over all of it here, because it’s literally thousands of lines long, so just visit AOSP if you’re interested in seeing the changes in Android 4.4.3.
It’s important to note that Google typically sends out one more update before a new version of Android comes out. Which we are expecting to see a new version of Android at Google I/O next month in San Francisco, although we are unsure whether that is Android 4.5 or 5.0, which we’ll have to wait and see what that’s all about. But this Android 4.4.3 update should fix a bunch of bugs that have been plaguing Nexus users for quite some time now.
This changelog was added about 3 weeks ago, but not made public until recently. Obviously since no one found it til today. Although with the changelog now being out there, we should be seeing the OTA coming out pretty soon. We could even see it start pushing out to the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 2012, Nexus 7 2013, and the Nexus 10 today. Which as always, we will let you know as soon as it starts pushing out. After the Nexus family of devices get their update, they’ll be pushing out the update to the Google Play Edition devices. Which includes the HTC One M8, M7, Samsung Galaxy S4, Moto G, LG G Pad 8.3, and the Sony Xperia Z Ultra. All of which are still available on the Play Store for those looking to buy one.
