Bigertech – Meizu's Sub-Brand for Marketing is launching within a Week's Time

It seems that there is a new trend in tech circles, we’re talking about launching sub-brands. We heard this one first from the OnePlus and OPPO relationship, where it was specifically stressed that OnePlus only handles the marketing bit for OPPO. In the latest news flowing in, we get to hear that Chinese manufacturer Meizu will be launching a sub-brand – Bigertech – which is rumored to handle marketing for variants of the Meizu MX3 and other devices. A countdown timer greets visitors to the Bigertech website, which is counting down to the launch eventuality and currently stands at 6 days and 17 hours (and counting).

The Bigertech website has been cunningly designed to draw interest into the purported products the company is supposed to handle for Meizu. We see a smartphone which resembles the Meizu MX3, a tablet device which could be in the 8.1 inch screen size range and what appears to be a Smartwatch. Another interesting feature is a pair of specs, which could possibly point to an upcoming smart-glass from the Chinese manufacturer, although we somehow aren’t sold on the idea one hundred percent. However, we would definitely love to see what Meizu would offer in terms of wearable tech. If the buzz doing rounds at the rumor mill is believed, we would expect Meizu to launch 5 smartphones this year, running on the low-cost Mediatek processors, for which probably Bigertech would handle the marketing. Though as of yet, we would advise you to consider this news with a pinch of salt, as with all rumors.

For the uninitiated, Meizu has come a long way since its launch more than a decade ago and is considered amongst the top ten smartphone manufacturers in China. Their latest offering, the 5.1 inch 1080p resolution bearing Meizu MX3, which is powered by an octa-core Samsung Exynos processor clocked at 1.6 GHz and 1.2 GHz and offers the largest internal storage – 128 GB – along with 2 GB of RAM and an 8 mega pixels (MP) primary and 2 MP secondary cameras. Once Bigertech gets launched, the pecking order would be officially unveiled and we’ll get to know what the company will be actually doing.
