Featured Review: Incipio Rival Case for the Samsung Galaxy S5

It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of Incipio’s products, and they’ve just sent over a few more cases for us to review (and Giveaway, so be sure to stay tuned to the site). This time we’re taking a look at their Rival case, which is a clear plastic case, that is a bit flexible, almost like a TPU case. We have the blue and black version, but it’s also available in red and yellow. Incipio says that it is co-molded with two layers of protection, so that your phone will indeed be protected. It has a Transparent textured Plextonuim hard shell, which does look nice, although the lower part of the back has strips where it’s more transparent, which I’m not sure what I think on that design. But it does look really nice on the Galaxy S5, I must say. And most importantly, wireless charging still works with the case on. So you won’t need to take it off, which is a big deal in my opinion.

I’ve been using the black one on my Galaxy S5 for a few days now, and really do like it. It looks great, and feels great as well. There’s not much else that we can say about this case, it’s difficult to find something bad to say about it. There are cut outs for the camera/flash module, the speaker on the back, the USB 3.0 port at the bottom, headphone jack and IR blaster at the top. There are no cut-outs for the power and volume rocker. But both of those still work really well. Incipio is selling the Rival case right now for just $29.99, while Amazon has it for $29.99 as well. Incipio has a whole slew of cases for the Galaxy S5 now, and we still have a few more that we need to review, so make sure you stay tuned to the site.
