Google Shopping is one of those services that I wish was all over the US. It’s basically same-day delivery for a variety of retailers. This includes Costco, Target and Staples. For quite some time it was only available in San Francisco, which is near where Google’s headquarters are – which are in Mountain View, for those that were unaware. This is a great service for those that may need to pick up some groceries for dinner or something but don’t want to leave the house, or are working all day. Amazon and Verizon Wireless is also doing same-day delivery in select cities. It’ll be sweet to have it available everywhere.
For those wondering, Google Shopping has expanded to these areas in West LA: Culver City, Inglewood, Marina Del Rey, Santa Monica, Venice, West Los Angeles, and Westwood. Google is also offering six-months of free delivery, as well as a $10 credit. Which is a nice way to get people into using Google Shopping. There’s also an Android app, so you can shop from your Android smartphone or tablet while sitting on the couch. Which is what most of us do these days anyways. Especially when it comes to shopping on Amazon. You can check out the source link below for more information on how to get your $10 credit and start spending it.
It’s great to see Google Shopping expanding to a couple more cities, well technically neighborhoods, I definitely can’t wait to see it come to more areas in the near future. I believe that same-day delivery is the future, especially with Amazon’s Jeff Bezos wanting to have drones deliver items to their customers. As far as I know, Google Shopping is only available for select retailers in these select cities. So hopefully more retailers are added soon. How many of you in Manhattan and West LA are excited about this Google Shopping expansion? Let us know in the comments below.
