Google Play Music updated to v5.5

Last night, Google was able to squeeze in one more update to Update Wednesday. We already saw Google Search get updated, now we’re seeing Google Play Music getting an update. This update brings in the ability to edit playlists on your device as well as being able to share them. And yes we have the APK link down below. Essentially all that’s new in this update is the ability to share playlists after making them public, and editing playlists in the app. Although Google doesn’t cite any other performance enhancements or bug fixes, I’m sure they are there. They are always there.

So now you are able to edit playlists on your device as well as share them. Which is a nice thing to have, especially if you use a lot of playlists on your devices. Now you can also share your creation with your friends. Although, I wonder if you have to have All Access to really share these playlists, or for the person that you shared it with to really use it. Because if you share a playlist of a bunch of songs that the other user doesn’t have nor do they have All Access, they shouldn’t be able to listen to them, right? We’ll have to try that out and see what happens. But in the meantime, check out the APK link down below.

Most of you know the drill, but installing an APK is pretty easy. Just make sure that you have Unknown Sources checked in the settings (Settings > Security > Unknown Sources), then download the APK and open it up. Just go through the install process and voila, you’re all set. It’s just that easy. It’s important to note here that this APK will upgrade the current version of the app on your device. So you won’t have two versions of the same app on your device, and you will be able to uninstall updates if needed.
