HTC to Launch Android Wear Watch Called One Wear?

Coming straight from TK Tech News, the group behind the recent Samsung Galaxy S5 Active leaks, we have a breaking rumor that will definitely interest you.  Wearables are the hottest new trend, as evinced by the release of three Galaxy Gear watches from Samsung and LG’s Lifeband Touch fitness band, and especially with the announcement of something from within Google, as well as other companies, known to us as Android Wear right now, to be released later this year or early next year.

This leak comes from TK Tech News, that is one of the more direct and open leakers of today’s latest tech.  They put up a post on their blog, direct from Taiwan, where they have been in contact with sources, and, in encountering a new wearable from HTC, he posted the following: “I did ask for a name. Tentatively it’s called the One Wear, slated to launch late august early September of this year.  The design is round much like the Moto 360, will be available in a polycarbonate and metal flavors.”

As mentioned, the wearable is currently in the pre-production and prototype device phases of manufacturing, and may not end up being a round-faced wrist-piece, but it is likely that it will be, because changing screen shape would be a drastic and last-minute change to everything up to that point in manufacturing.  Since, they mention the Moto 360, it can’t be said whether this device will be for HTC or all of Android as of right now.

The device will either be a partner device to HTC’s devices, or it could be a HTC addition to the Android Wear family that we haven’t met just yet.  We will have to wait and see what comes of this new rumor and leak, especially because Google I/O is coming up, where it is likely that Android Wear will be officially previewed, and we will, if the leak proves to be true, we will see it come to light later this summer or in the early fall.  Stay tuned in case we hear any news regarding the new HTC wearable that may or may not be called the One Wear.
