Latest Leak Shows Off LG G3 UX Design With Flat Styling, Possible June 12th Launch?

You just saw the LG G3 from multiple angles, now how about a look at the UX design head on? This latest leak gives us a view of what to expect from the LG and their upcoming flagship device in the UI department. The view of the UX reveals the white icons in the status tray which denotes the use of Kit Kat here for the Android build, but we already knew that to be true anyway. Still it’s nice to see it. What we really get here is a nice look at how LG has decided to design some of their personalized parts of the user interface, like the widgets and icons. They have an extremely “flat” look to them which follows in line with a lot of the popular style of widgets and icon packs that are out there right now drawing plenty of peoples attention. It’s cool to see one of the OEMs taking on this approach to their own UI design as well, although we know that the whole flat look is not everyone’s cup of tea.

If you look hard enough at a couple of the icons we can see the presence of the long shadows as well, which you can see being used on the notepad, and camera icons. LG has still managed to use some of their own design in this latest user interface, but while doing that they have brought the overall design closer to a more stock Android Kit Kat look, which many people will love but some people will undoubtedly not care for. Perhaps something not everyone may have picked up on, is the date on the weather widget up top. It lists the date as June 12th, so could this be referring to the phones launch date? We might find that out May 27th. Only a week and a half to go, or just about. Who’s excited???
