More Leaked G3 Photos Show Off the Phone's Front and Back

LG’s upcoming G3 is one of the more anticipated smartphone releases of the year, so it’s no surprise that we’ve been hearing rumor after rumor and seeing leak after leak. We’ve already seen the G3 leak out a number of times in the flesh, showing us the slightly redesigned rear buttons and we’ve seen it most recently masquerading in a rugged case. Now though, we’re getting the clearest look at the device in this latest batch of photos. LG seems poised to announce the G3 come May 27th and we’re sure we’ll be able to see all that LG have put into their latest and greatest, but until then we’re going to have to settle for more leaked photos like these.

While rumors have been suggesting that the G3 is going to be built out of some sort of metal, these photos don’t help back up such a claim. In the pair of new photos obtained by GforGames, it looks like the G3 is encased in good-old polycarbonate. Of course, there’s a chance that this is yet another case the G3 is hiding under, but with how tightly the display meets that casing on the front makes us think otherwise.

While the angle of the photos aren’t the best, we can certainly see some extremely thin bezels either side, which is good as the device seems to have grown in size which would go hand-in-hand with rumors of a 5.5-inch display. The rear-panel features the rear-button arrangement and the curved edges at the top and bottom remind me of the plastic edges on my G Pad. Still, the G3 in these photos looks to be a good-looking device. The specs for the upcoming G3 are said to include a Snapdragon 801 (though we’re all hoping for the 805 to make it), a 2560 x 1440 display and a whole host of other features to make this one of the more fully-featured smartphone releases of the year. Are you looking forward to the G3? Let us know in the comments!
