LG Device with Snapdragon 810 Chipset Rumored to be an Android Silver Product

Evleaks just tweeted out that there is an LG handset in the making right now with a Qualcomm MSM8994 chipset inside – for those that aren’t in the technical know, that’s the Snapdragon 810. It’s said that this device will be an Android Silver device, and will be heading to Sprint in the US. Now that doesn’t mean that the device is going to be an exclusive to Sprint. But it could also be an exclusive. However with this supposedly being an Android Silver product, I’m willing to bet it’ll be on just about every carrier in the US and hopefully available internationally unlike the Google Play Edition devices that are available now.

So basically what we have here is a LG handset destined for Sprint with a Snapdragon 810 chipset inside. The Snapdragon 810 is even more powerful than the 805 which is expected to be in the LG G3. So those rumors about Android Silver being high-end are definitely true if this rumor is true. We heard earlier today that the Android Silver program would be launching around February of 2015. We’re also hearing from Evleaks that this is the successor to the Nexus 6 initiative. Which if it is, man the Nexus 6 was going to be a beast. It was rumored that LG was making the next Nexus, but it appears that they might be making one of the first Android Silver devices instead. Which is perfectly fine with me, I’m all for Android Silver actually.

I’m definitely excited for this device, even though we have no code-name, or any other information about it. But the fact that it’s a Snapdragon 810 chipset for Android Silver definitely has me excited. However, the way his tweet was worded it could be a Sprint exclusive, I’m hoping not because exclusives suck. I don’t know about the rest of you. Let us know in the comments below though.
