LG G3 Featuring Removable Battery and Metal Backing

According to our favorite leaker out there, Evleaks, it appears that the LG G3 is going to have a metal back, as well as having a removable battery. So for those of you that are in love with HTC’s metal backing on the One M7 and the One M8, well the LG G3 appears to have it as well. Which means no more fingerprint magnet, on the LG G2, which was the biggest complaint amongst most people. Now we also have a removable battery here, which is great. But in that same picture, we see the micro SIM card slot. If you look closely, it looks like there is a microSD card slot above it as well. Similar to how Samsung does their own microSD and Micro SIM card slots. Which should make plenty of people happy.

As far as the specs go for the LG G3, we’re looking at a 5.5-inch 2560×1440 resolution display, 3GB of RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, 3000mAh battery, and Android 4.4.2. So we’ve got some good specs here, and the LG G3 may be the first smartphone out there with a Snapdragon 805 processor, which if that screen resolution is true, we’ll definitely need that Snapdragon 805 processor inside.

LG is hosting their press event for the LG G3 in a couple of weeks, May 27th to be exact. So there are lots more rumors and leaks on the way. Hopefully we won’t be disappointed by the LG G3, but I still think it’ll be an incremental upgrade, similar to what Samsung and HTC have done earlier this year. Simply because there’s not a whole lot they can or need to change. What do all of you out there think? Is the LG G3 possibly your next smartphone? Let us know in the comments below.
