LG L70 Launches on Verizon Prepaid as the Optimus Exceed 2

Verizon seems to be taking their prepaid customers more seriously now. Over the past year or two, prepaid has become all the rage. Especially with people buying Nexus devices, and just putting it on a prepaid carrier like Straight Talk, Simple Mobile, Aio, Solavei, etc. It seems like Verizon finally got the message and is working on their own portfolio for their prepaid users. They added a couple new devices last week, and now they are adding the LG L70 as the Optimus Exceed 2.

The LG Optimus Exceed 2 does feature a 4.5-inch 800×400 display, dual-core 1.2GHz processor, Android 4.4 KitKat, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, 5-megapixel camera, along with WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and no LTE. Which is actually pretty surprising given that it’s a Verizon device. The Optimus Exceed 2 is available for $249.99 outright, but Verizon is offering it on Prepaid for just $79.99

With Verizon also offering the Moto G on their network, I’d have to say that the Moto G is a much better deal. You’re getting a 4.5-inch 720p display, quad-core 1.2GHz processor in the form of the Snapdragon 400, 16GB of storage, 1GB of RAM and a 2020mAh battery inside. Which is pretty good for the price. Although if you don’t want to spend that much, you can still pick up the LG Exceed 2 from Verizon. It’s available today.

LG also seems to have gotten the message that you have to do more than just a couple of flagships to really make some money in this industry. You need to make a few low-end and mid-range devices as well. Which they have, and carriers have picked them up, surprisingly. HTC is beginning to get that now as well. Now we are all waiting on the LG G3, that’ll make an appearance on May 27th, Right? How many of you are going to pick up the LG Optimus Exceed 2?
