Motorola seems to have a lot of things in the works. With the Moto 360 Android Wear smartwatch on the way with a planned summer time release date, and rumors of a Moto X, and Moto G successor planned for a summer time release as well, that would be just about enough to keep them fairly busy. If that wasn’t enough for them though they also have a new low-cost device on the way that is supposed to be even less than the Moto G called the Moto E.(which we should be learning about in the early, early a.m. tomorrow)On top of all that, according to Amazon’s listing page for the Moto G, there seems to be LTE models available for purchase.
There are two things to note. One, the follow-up to the Moto G could be just a LTE model like what’s listed on the Amazon page for the Moto G. Second, it could be an entirely different device from the Moto G successor which would give users a ton of choice when looking into new devices later this summer. If you go to Amazon and search for the Moto G you’ll see that the usual suspects are there and it looks as though there’s nothing new. If you click on the “new from $199.99” link though you’ll get taken to a new page that has all the different resellers of the Moto G(amazon included), and when it comes to selections for which model you’re looking for, two new selections appear for a white and a black LTE model of the device.
While these haven’t been noticed on the site before which suggests they’re new links, you don’t actually get the opportunity to buy a LTE variant of the Moto G as the links are dead at this point. Clicking on it only takes you to a blank page with an apology from Amazon because there was nothing there for you to find. While this could be a mistake and Amazon mistakenly added these two new selections, we can’t completely rule out the possibility of LTE enabled Moto G devices appearing for purchase in the future. Would you pay a little more and grab a Moto G if it was LTE enabled?
