So what do we know about the Moto X+1? Well.. not much really but today we’re learning a little bit more about the device. By now most of us should be no stranger to evleaks and the tiny little morsels of information or the image leaks that we see from him via twitter. What some of you may not have known, that includes myself, is that the Moto X+1’s internal codename reference is Victara according to evleaks. Today’s tip also states that the Moto X+1 will be joining the ranks of all four major U.S. carriers which most people were probably already expecting. So if the leaks are to be believed, then all four carriers will be picking up and selling the Moto X successor that had been rumored to launch sometime this summer.
What isn’t stated by evleaks is whether or not all four major U.S. carriers will be picking up and selling the device at launch. We can assume that is most likely the case, and it’s logical but so far there hasn’t been any confirmation from Motorola. You may also remember the individual that was poking around the Motorola website a week or two back and found some interesting data residing inside of the XML code on the page, which they then promptly posted a thread about on reddit.
The XML contained bits of information about the leather backplates we heard about for the Moto X+1, but the XML code was devoid of any tags referring to T-mobile so the assumption here is that the Moto Maker website may not go live for T-mobile at launch. This is also still just speculation and rumors but it’s something to think about. At this point we haven’t seen official press images of the Moto X+1 but we have seen it pop up on the Moto Maker website a couple of times since we first heard about the phone. It was quickly removed of course. We have yet to hear anything regarding official pricing or an exact launch date, and thus far we know nothing about the specs of the device but we’d assume that they’ll be somewhat similar to the original Moto X.
