Motorola teased us on Twitter this morning that there is a new boot animation out for the 2013 Motorola devices, that’s the Moto X, Moto G, DROID Maxx, DROID Mini and DROID Ultra. Well we have the video of the boot animation, which is down below. It’s quite cool actually. Although it is a bit graphic, the snowman gets killed. But if you live up north, then you probably feel good about that, especially after this past winter. The update is rolling out through the Boot Animation app that’s on the Play Store, so you may want to open the Play Store and update your apps. Once you have done that go ahead and restart your device and enjoy. There’s no word on how long Motorola will keep that boot animation before they go back to the original, but it’ll likely be there for a month or so.
We still aren’t seeing the update on our own Moto X, but Motorola did post the video – down below – to Google+ so we can see what to expect. Motorola has been having fun with the boot animation on their Motorola devices lately. It’s definitely a nice change in pace, compared to having the same boot animation unless you root. Wonder what Motorola is going to do for the Summer boot animation, or for when Lenovo’s acquisition is final? I have a feeling that things like this and windy day will go away once Lenovo officially owns Motorola. As for now, they are still a Google company. At least until the purchase is approved.
Are any of our readers sporting a Moto X, Moto G, DROID Maxx, DROID Mini, or DROID Ultra? Be sure to let us know in the comments below how you are liking the new Spring boot animation on your device.
