Now that the HTC One M8 and Samsung Galaxy S5 have launched – the mobile tech world has set its sights on the newest flagship from LG, the new G3. Rumors are abound and what you see here is the latest picture that leaked of the LG G3 wrapped inside a protective case. If a real picture, (you never can tell about this sort of leak) it does however, show off the thin bezels and the back buttons, dual LED Flash, and some sort of sensor – there have been rumors from fingerprint sensor to an IR Blaster. It looks a lot like the Heart Rate Sensor on the Galaxy S5, but my money is a fingerprint scanner of some sort…it just seems like LG is due to add that feature on their new flagship.
A couple of days ago, it was confirmed by LG that the new LG G3 would be launched in the next couple of months. Just yesterday, we got an invite from LG to their event on May 27, which just about nails it that the G3 will be announced that day. Another report from Korea claims that the device is in mass production and that LG has set a sales goal of 10 million – somewhat low by my estimates, considering how LG sales have really picked up since the launch of the LG G2 and the G Pro.
If the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime (aka Samsung KQ) is not released before the LG G3, the G3 could be the first smartphone to show off a QHD display – 5.5-inches with 2560 x 1440 resolution and 534 PPI. Aside from that feature, the device stacks up well to the Galaxy S5 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz. Rumors have it with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage with microSD card for expansion up to 128GB, a 16MP main camera and 2MP front-facing camera (FFC), a 3000mAh battery, Android 4.4 KitKat, and some sort of water/dust resistance.
Let us know on our Google+ Page if you are excited about the new LG G3 – do you have it on your radar or have you already purchased the HTC One M8 or the new Samsung Galaxy S5…as always, we would love to hear from you.
