The OnePlus One was announced last month and is slated to be available later this month and in June. It’s an amazing device, especially for the price. We’re looking at a 5.5-inch display, 13MP camera, Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, etc. The 16GB model is $299 and the 64GB model is $349. That’s pretty insane pricing there, even cheaper than the Nexus 5, which is crazy. The device is official now, and we are all waiting patiently – okay not so patiently – to get ours in hand. But now there’s a new concept image floating around for the successor to the OnePlus One, which is the OnePlus Two. It looks a lot like the OnePlus One, so I’m not sure there’s a whole lot to be said here.
As you can see from the image above, it looks like we have only on-screen buttons, and they are a bit different looking otherwise, the device looks exactly the same. Now where OnePlus said they are only launching one device per year, I wouldn’t expect this one to be available until next year, and we may see the Snapdragon 805 or 810 inside, as well as a bump to 4GB of RAM, and hopefully smaller bezels as well. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with the OnePlus One’s design, but I think a slightly changed design will be better for the company. I mean we see what’s going on with Samsung and their designs. Not a whole lot of people are too excited about their devices these days. Well at least not those that would be interested in the OnePlus One, since those are hardcore Android geeks, or tech geeks. But Samsung is catering more to the average consumer these days.
