Samsung Galaxy S5 in Gold heading to Verizon Wireless Soon

According to Evleaks, it appears that there is a new color of the Samsung Galaxy S5 that’s going to be heading to Verizon Wireless pretty soon. That’s right, big red scored the Copper Gold version of the next big thing. Now we’ve actually already had hands on the Copper Gold one, as our Managing Editor from the UK was able to get his hands on the Gold one from Vodafone. He actually did like the color, so it may not be so bad after all. Even though everyone was saying that it looks like band-aid, which in the press images, it did indeed look like a band-aid. But I still have to wonder, why are all these gold phones coming out these days? Is it due to the champagne iPhone 5S that Apple put out last year? Most likely.

Evleaks didn’t mention when the Copper Gold Galaxy S5 would be coming to Verizon Wireless, just the fact that it’s on its way. So we may see it in a few weeks, months, or never. We’ve seen that happen before as well. Right now, Verizon and all the other carriers are selling the black and white versions of the Samsung Galaxy S5. We are not sure if other carriers will be getting the Copper Gold version of not, but at least it’s not a Best buy Exclusive, much like the HTC One (M8) in Gold is.

The Copper Gold Galaxy S5 I guess is an acquired taste. I’d still prefer the black Galaxy S5. The Galaxy S5 is actually on sale right now for $99 from Verizon Wireless, on a new contract of course. It also features a 5.1-inch 1920×1080 display, 2GB of RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 16GB of Storage with a microSD card slot, 16MP camera on the back and a 2MP front-facing shooter, 2800mAh battery and Android 4.4.2. So it’s pretty beastly.
