Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 Leaks Out

We’ve been hearing a lot about the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S which is supposed to be announced next month by Samsung. Basically, what differentiates this tablet from the rest of the Samsung tablets out there is the fact that it has an AMOLED display. Samsung hasn’t used an AMOLED display in a tablet since the original Galaxy Tab way back in 2010. The reason being, it’s pretty expensive. So they’ve stuck with LCD panels so they can sell their tablets a bit cheaper.

Now the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is supposedly going to have a 10.5-inch display, obviously, but that display is supposedly going to be a 2560×1600 resolution display. Which is about what we’ve been seeing from Samsung lately with their tablet displays. All of the Galaxy PRO tablets have that same resolution, even the little guy the Galaxy TabPRO 8.4. We’re also expecting either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 or 805, depending on when it’s released, along with 3GB of RAM. The other specs really aren’t known, but you can expect the typical high-end tablet specs. So likely a 8MP camera on the back, 2MP front-facing camera, Android 4.4 KitKat, etc.

Now we’ve got some images of the Galaxy Tab S, thanks to Evleaks. And it honestly looks like any other Samsung tablet. We’ve got the physical home button on the front with two capacitive keys for recents and back. Although the back has the dimpled pattern from the Galaxy S5, which is Samsung’s new design, but what’s interesting as there appears to be a button at the bottom right corner, and another on the lower left corner. I’m really not sure what that is for and it’s the first time we’ve seen that on a tablet. So it’ll be interesting to see what that really is.
