Description: We’ve already taken a look at the Adaptxt keyboard before, but since then there’s been some changes made and the keyboard has gone from strength to strength. Here we’re talking about version 3.0 of the keyboard. Adaptxt is one of the most flexible keyboards available on Android, with 93 languages, 44 industry-specific dictionaries available, location-specific word predictions and more options to customize the look and feel of your keyboard than you can count. An excellent keyboard that offers Android users a solid choice, is Adaptxt the keyboard you’ve been waiting for? Read on to see how the latest version of this flexible and predictive keyboard shapes up.
How it Works: Before you can do anything with Adaptxt, you’ll first need to download Adaptxt Keyboard from the Google Play Store. From there, you’ll be asked to go through the setup procedure.
Once you’ve gone through those first few steps, you’ll be told about some of the key features that make Adaptxt such a good keyboard, like the location-based predictions.
You can start typing right away of course, but to get the most out of Adaptxt, you’ll want to pay a visit to the app’s comprehensive settings menu.
My favorite part of the settings is being able to customize the look and feel of my keyboard to exactly how I like it.
Once you have your keyboard setup and changed the settings you want, you can start typing just as you would with any other keyboard.
Opinion: I found the customization in previous versions of Adaptxt to be one of its crown jewels and now, it’s gotten even better. For someone as particular as myself, being able to change key shapes, key colors and even the font style and color is a really great feature. I’m pretty good with virtual keyboards like these, but being able to adjust the height of the keys is an excellent touch and the granularity of the options here is excellent. The typing experience is overall very fluid and responsive, but the word prediction is spookily accurate and if you use it for long enough, you’ll be shocked at how little you have to type to get a quick message put together. There’s a free trial offer, so there’s no excuse not to give it a go.
