Description: Lords of War is a PVP MMORPG for Android smartphones or tablets and aims to bring a similar experience you might find in World of Warcraft and the like to Android gamers. With a turn-based battle system gamers will recognize from Final Fantasy games, there are four different classes to choose from; Barbarian , Sorcerer , Assassin and Paladin. With hundreds of items and weapons available to change the look of your soldier, Lords of War doesn’t ever ask for any micropayments or anything like that, once you pay for the full game, you get access to everything. A strategy come MMORPG, Lords of War will pair you with random online opponents or you can choose to fight against a friend. How it Works: First of all, you’ll need to download Lords of War from the Play Store. There is a Lite version to try out at first and then a paid version which will give you access to everything for a one-off fee. Once you’ve downloaded the game, you’ll need to open an account.
With an account created, you can go ahead and choose what type of warrior you want to play as.
Choosing attributes and skills is the next stage.
Once you’ve chosen all of your attributes and such, you can then go online to find other players to fight against. You can choose to play with friends or face off against a random opponent.
When casting spells or attacking your opponents, you’ll notice that there are six different camera angles that will cycle through and show off these moves.
The close up camera angles are pretty cool and will appeal to big RPG fans and MMO players.
When you’ve conquered some enemies online, you’ll be able to customize your character with special weapons and armor.
Opinion: MMORPGs are a lot of fun, but they don’t really fit mobile all that well, which is why it’s nice to see something like Lords of War change the formula a little bit. Rather than having to take on huge numbers of enemies in a boring step-by-step fashion, you’re charged with defeating one other player in a very focused manner. Overall, the concept is good, and there’s a lot of content on offer for those that really like to get stuck into things like this and the customization options are great. The presentation is one thing that could be improved.

Conclusion: Lords of War isn’t one of the best-looking RPG type games out there, but it has a lot on offer and certainly won’t disappoint those looking for an MMORPG style game without all of the associated hassle that comes with it. It’s a shame that the presentation is lacking here, but we’re sure that will improve over time and a lot of work has gone into making sure there are lots of items and a good deal of content. You only need to pay for the game once in order to get access to everything included, which is a lot more than can be said for other games.
