It looks like those on T-Mobile with the Moto X are in for another software update. We aren’t really sure what this one is about since they already have the latest version of Android. So perhaps this is to fix all the bugs and such that are on the Moto X right now. As usual, the Soak test invite doesn’t mention anything about the update, just that it’s a new software update on it’s way for the T-Mobile Moto X. Here’s what the email says:
“Hi,
Thanks for joining the Motorola Feedback Network. We are inviting owners of Moto X on T-Mobile to participate in a preview of a new software release, and provide feedback. If you are not currently using a T-Mobile Moto X, please excuse and ignore this email.
Click this link — [redacted] — to take the enrollment survey if you wish to take part. Note that you must be a member in good standing of the Motorola Owners’ Forums to be included. The registration window could close without notice so please respond as quickly as possible.
Thanks — please understand that start times are always fluid. We ask for your patience if you register but don’t hear from us right away.
Matt

There’s also a part in there about not “leaking” this out to sites that cover the industry, but that always happens, so that’s really nothing new. The soak test will probably begin early next week and if everything goes fine, we should see an update within a week after that. Hopefully it’s more than just a bug fix, but it appears that is all it is right now. We’ll be sure to let you know once we learn more about the soak test for the T-Mobile Moto X.
