On Tuesday, LG finally announced the LG G3. It had really only one let down, which was the Snapdragon 805. Many of us were hoping to see that device powered by a Snapdragon 805 since it can handle that screen resolution better, and it’s a bit more of an upgrade from the Snapdragon 800 in the G2 than the Snapdragon 801 is. Nonetheless, this is still a very powerful device and is heading to all four carriers later this summer. Now T-Mobile and Sprint are both holding contests to win a brand new LG G3. On the sign-up page on T-Mobile’s website, it basically confirms that they are carrying the 3GB of RAM/32GB of storage model of the LG G3. As far as the other carriers we really don’t know.
However, PhoneArena is pointing out that in the fine print of the details for Sprint’s contest, the ARV (Average Retail Value) of the LG G3 is $599.99. Normally that cost is indeed reserved for the 16GB version. But I wouldn’t take that as confirmed just yet. At least not until Sprint does confirm it, or they out the specs on their website. At least with T-Mobile they actually stated which one they are selling, while Sprint just put the price of it for the giveaway they are doing.
As most of you know, the LG G3 comes in two models. There’s the 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage and the 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 in one model, while the other has 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and the 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801. Both very powerful devices, but obviously we want the first one, as it has more power, and probably most importantly, it has more storage. Of course, the LG G3 does have a microSD card slot, so that won’t be a huge deal.
