If you’re a baseball fan and a T-Mobile subscriber then you probably already know about the the wireless carriers new partnership with the MLB as of last year. In light of this new partnership sponsor, T-mobile started to offer free access to users of MLB At Bat, so you could listen to games without being charged throughout the entire season. It was unconfirmed whether or not they would continue to give customers the same type of access this year, but as of May 1st and going forward, subscribers on T-mobile’s network can download and install the MLB at Bat android app or iOS app and get the same season long free access to listening to games as they were awarded in 2013.
MLB at Bat also offers the ability to sign up for an annual subscription cost which allows users the ability to watch the games throughout the season, but for that particular usage you’ll need to sign up for a monthly recurring cost of $2.99 per month or a one time annual fee of $19.99 for the entire seasons access. Luckily if you don’t mind just listening to the games and the plays, you now won’t have to pay a dime.Word was brought to the attention of the folks over at Tmonews by some customers who had noticed a pop up offer to sign up for free access after they had installed and opened the application. What was interesting is that at the time there was no official confirmation from T-Mobile or MLB, but as of now the free access has been confirmed and you will officially get free access to MLB At Bat 14 for the entire season. In the T-Mobile support forums customers were being told to try streaming a game and then they should be greeted with the free offer, as it stands now you simply just have to install the application and then open it, and you’ll see the free offer message pop up immediately as it did for me just now.
Since T-Mobile is now the official sponsor of the MLB, this is one of their little ways of thanking people for being loyal customers. It’s a nice little treat for those who love America’s oldest pastime, and why should you have to miss any of the best moments in baseball? You can download the app for free from the Play Store link.
