Well here’s some good news, especially for LG. It appears that Verizon is handing out LG G Pad 8.3’s with new FiOS orders. Since Verizon does more than just mobile phones and tablets, they also do home internet, it’s great to see them handing out Verizon Wireless tablets. For those unaware, FiOS is Verizon’s Fiber Optic Internet, and TV service that has speeds up to 450mbps. Which is some speed I’d like to have over in my area. Verizon has decided to give out LG G Pad 8.3 or a $200 credit towards a new tablet on Verizon Wireless with all new Verizon FiOS orders. Which is great, unless of course you don’t use Verizon for your cell phone.
The process for getting your free LG G Pad 8.3 does take a bit of time. As you’ll get your certificate for your LG G Pad 8.3 within about 30 days of ordering your new FiOS service. The certificate can be redeemed at Verizon stores between now and September 30th. Obviously, the Verizon LG G Pad 8.3 only works on Verizon and does require a new 2-year contract. It’s still a pretty good deal, and if you are already on Verizon for your phone, it’s an even better deal.
For those unaware, the LG G Pad 8.3 has a 8.3-inch 1920×1200 resolution display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, 5MP rear-facing camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 4600mAh battery and is currently running on Android 4.2.2, but should get the update to KitKat fairly shortly since the G2 and G Flex have their update already.
This promotion will definitely help out LG in selling a few more tablets, and will also bring in some more accounts to Verizon, whether they are just extra devices on existing customers accounts or entirely new accounts, it’s still more devices on their network, so Verizon can continue being number one.
