WIND Mobile Goes After Mobilicity and Public Mobile Customers

Like All carriers, WIND Mobile would like to increase its customer base and what better way to do this than to take them from a competitor, or two.  Just like the ‘war games’ being played in the U.S. between T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint and Verizon – WIND Mobile is offering a FREE month of service from customers that port over from either Mobilicity or Public Mobile.  This is taking us back to the days in 2008 when WIND Mobile first launched, but now, almost 700,000 subscribers strong, they decided to run this special through May 11.

Mobilicity and its 165,000 subscribers is in deep financial trouble and looking for a buyer – TELUS, who owns Public Mobile and their 222,000 wireless subscribers, is in a battle with the government to purchase Mobilicity.  WIND Mobile thinks the time is ripe to grab some of those worried customers and bring them on board to a much larger and more stable carrier.

WIND Mobile’s website says if you join by May 11, you will receive – a free SIM card, one-monthly plan fees free, keep your phone and get up to $500 in service credits, or upgrade your phone and get up to $500 on WINDtab and get service credits when you trade in your old device.  This offer is good on any of WIND’s current monthly plans, starting with WIND 25, WIND 35, WIND 39, WIND 40, WIND 50, and WIND 60 – with the $39 per month plan is a limited time.  You get unlimited Data, unlimited Canada/US wide talk, and unlimited Canada/US texting – a great deal for someone who travels.

WIND Mobile also offers a $25 a month plan that offers unlimited Canada-wide calling and text for those that are not interested in data usage.  Next you would want to grab that $39 a month plan while the offer is still good, but they also offer a reasonable $40 a month plan for unlimited Canada-wide calling, global texting, and unlimited data.  It also offers a reduced international calling rate to 200+ countries and territories from one-cent a minute and up to $250 in bring/buy you own phone credits or WINDtab and even adds voicemail+.  All of these features on a much larger network.

Please let us know on our Google+ Page if you are a Mobilicity or Public subscriber and are thinking of making the jump to WIND…as always we would love to hear from you.
