HTC One Mini 2 Now Available in the UK

When the HTC One Mini 2 was announced earlier in May, it was said that the device wasn’t to launch in the UK until June 30th. Thankfully, that date has been moved by a whole month, and the One Mini 2 is now available in the UK. Phones 4U have the device to purchase online and in-store and 3 UK also has the device ready to order, too. Coming in at 4.5-inches and a 720p resolution, the One Mini 2 is smaller than the latest One M8, but it’s still got a 1.2 Ghz quad-core CPU, that 5-megapixel front-facing camera, Android 4.4.2 KitKat and Sense 5. What it doesn’t have however is the DuoCamera and instead has a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera. It’s available for around £360 unlocked, or anywhere from £30 and up on contract and isn’t a bad deal for a device as well-made as this.

Tonino Lamborghini Antares Available in the UK

Got £2,500 to burn? Well then, you’re in luck as the Tonino Lamborghini Antares smartphone is now available from Selfridges and Carphone Warehouse. It’s a quad-core 1.5 Ghz engine with 2GB of RAM and well, just look at it. You’re clearly not spending £2,500 on a well specced smartphone – the Android 4.2 build confirms as much – instead you’re spending £2,500 on a kick-ass design. The beast is pretty heavy and large to say there’s just a 4-inch display underneath coming in at 170g and measuring 136 x 67.6 x 13.5mm. So, do you have £2,500?

HTC One E8 to Launch in China

Earlier in the week, we saw a slightly cut down version of the M8 leak onto HTC’s Chinese website and it looks like the device is about to launch in the region any moment now. The HTC One E8 as it’s become known features the same internals as the M8, but loses the DuoCamera around the back, instead using a 13-megapixel shooter and is made of plastic instead. Still, the same Sense 6 features and BoomSound speakers that make the One so appealing will still be there when it officially goes on sale.

One Touch Idol X+ Makes its Way to India

The 5-inch 1080p Idol Touch X+ from Alcatel is going on sale through Flipkart in India for RS 16,999. It’s a decent enough device, with a 1080p display, an MT6592 octa-core CPU and 2GB of RAM. Of course, this doesn’t set it apart from the pack of other similar devices, but the bundled fitness tracker and JBL earphones might help sway a few people and the 2,500 mAh battery should give users a decent amount of battery life to get them through the day.

Philips Launch New Line of Smartphones in India

Philips have launched a new line of devices in India, of which the above W6610 is clearly the best of the bunch with an octa-core CPU, 5-inch qHD display and 8-megapixel camera. The W6610 is RS 20,650 which is really quite pricey, but there’s also the S308 which is just RS 8,290. It features a 4-inch display, a dual-core MediaTek CPU and a colorful look to it.

Galaxy K Zoon to be Available in the UK Starting May 31st

The Galaxy K Zoom might not be to everyone’s taste, but it’s to be available throughout the UK starting this weekend, Samsung has announced. It probably won’t be cheap, but then again you are purchasing a digital camera and a phone at the same time – sort of. The device has a 720p 4.8-inch display and a 20.7-megapixel rear-facing camera complete with  10x optical zoom. Samsung has said that Carphone Warehouse stores should be carrying the device from this Saturday up and down the UK.
