Android 4.4.3 Is Here! Update All The Nexus Devices!

This week saw the release of Android 4.4.3 KitKat and shockingly, all the Nexus devices have already been updated. Nexus owners that haven’t updated their devices yet – busy week, guys? – can find factory images on Google’s website and all of the OTA ZIPs are available from Google and many of your favorite ROMs have already been updated to the latest version of Android. As for what’s new in Android 4.4.3? Take a look here. The Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 (2013 and 2012) as well as the Nexus 10 have all now been updated to Android 4.4.3 – and remember, if you’ve made adjustments to your /system partition, don’t try updating using a standard ZIP from Google.

The Xperia Z1 is getting a tiny 2MB OTA to software version 14.3.A.0.761, with very few changes with it. However, Sony wouldn’t issue an update if it didn’t fix or improve something. There’s also another update said to be on the horizon with the 769 release already certified.

AT&T’s HTC One M7 Gets Sense 6

Users with the HTC’s original One, not to be confused many other “Ones”, have a 700MB treat in store for them this week as the update to Sense 6 has been rolling out since earlier this week. The update brings a whole bunch of small cosmetic changes to HTC’s skin and improves a number of key apps. BlinkFeed gets a lot better in Sense 6 and overall you’ll find subtle improvements to the existing software on your device.

The main feature in this latest update is notification glance, which allows you to look up and see a notification as it comes, negating the need to mess around with Glass while your display is otherwise turned off.

Android 4.4.3 has only been out for a week or so, and yet it’s already on its way to other devices besides the Nexus line. Motorola is to start the roll out of Android 4.4.3 (along with Motorola Alert for the G and X) in the coming days. In fact, the Moto X on T-Mobile has already been given the latest version of Android. Huzzah!
