And I’m sure many of you are wanting to root your Xperia Z2, right? Well luckily XDA Developers forum user DooMLoRD has found a way to root your Sony Xperia Z2. Before we go through with telling you how to root your Xperia Z2, it’s important we remind you that we are not responsible for any damage caused to your Xperia Z2. You assume all responsibility.
Before we get started, you’ll want to be sure you’ve got the adb drivers installed on your computer, as well as having USB debugging enabled in Developer Options. Now you’ll want to jump into Security settings and enable Unknown sources. Then connect your device to your PC using the USB cable that came with it.
How to root the Sony Xperia Z2
- Simply download the file, extract it completely using winzip/winrar
- Next go to the folder where its extracted and execute “RUNME.bat”
- Make sure to read and follow the instructions on the screen!
- Once the script has finished, be sure to reboot your device.
- Voila! You’re rooted.
It’s pretty simple to root your Xperia Z2 actually, which is great. Now you’ll be able to use things like Xposed, and flash ROMs onto your Xperia Z2.
