Late last night, Google announced a new feature for Google Drive. This feature is such a simple one, but one that we still need to cover. Up until today, you’ve needed to leave out of a document and go back to Drive to delete it. At least for Google Docs, Slides and Spreadsheets. Well that is the case no longer. As Google has finally added the ability to delete the document from inside the document. Now all you need to do is go to File, and tap on Move to Trash, and you’re all set. Couldn’t be any easier, could it?
Albeit a minor annoyance, it’s still great to see that we finally have that ability. Although it’s still strange that it took Google this long to add that feature into Google Drive and docs. You’d think that would have been there when it launched all those years ago. So far, this is only available on the web, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see it hit apps on both Android and iOS very shortly, as they normally keep them all synced up as far as features go.
Google Drive has been getting better and better. And their prices are now the best among the competition. I mean 1TB of space for just $10/month is pretty insane if you ask me. No one else does that, unless you count Flickr, which they only give you 1TB for pictures not for documents and everything else. What’s even better about Google Drive is the fact that Google Docs do not count against your quota at all. Which is probably why I still have so much space left, basically my entire Drive is full of Google Docs. Pretty crazy. How many of you are glad to see this feature finally added in for Google Drive?
