Google And Chromebooks Officially Say Hello To Nine New Nations

Look out because Google’s Chrome OS powered laptops, the Chromebooks, are going even more international than before. Google has announced today that Chromebooks will be available in nine new countries starting from today. Google has been on a mission to improve the standing of computing for all generations around the globe, and making Chromebooks available in new nations is a good way to further that goal. It’s funny then to think that Google started as simply a search engine company, providing the world with a  wealth of knowledge only a click away, and now look how far they’ve come. If you live in any of the new countries that will be hopping on board the Chromebook train will you finally be looking at picking one up?

Chromebooks have been the best selling laptops on Amazon for quite some time here in the U.S., and we’re sure that Google is proud to be bringing some of that same excitement for the Chrome OS machines to other places around the world. The new nations that will be getting Chromebooks made available for purchase will be the Philippines, New Zealand, Denmark, Norway, Mexico, and Chile, with Spain, Belgium, and Italy getting Chromebooks in the coming weeks according to Google. Say hello to new friends and new Chromebook powered nations as this means that Chromebooks and the Chrome OS should get even better from here on out with more places having access to their wonderment.

These nine new nations getting official Chromebook buying power raises the official country list to over 20 countries, and Google is sure to add even more as time goes on. The only things left unsaid for the most part is what all devices those nations will have access to. Norway, Spain, and New Zealand will be able to snag the Acer C720 and C720P models as well as the Toshiba Chromebook 13, but there is no word if those will be the only available models or not. We would imagine that if they were, future models would probably make their way to all official nations where Chromebooks are available to buy via their respective outlets.
