As we expected, Google is going to be giving out the LG G Watch to all attendees at Google I/O later this month. Google I/O takes place on June 25th and 26th this year from San Francisco as always. We expected Google to give out the LG G Watch to everyone since it’s said to be the reference model of Android Wear, which we’ll be hearing a lot about at Google I/O this year. According to sources at Android Authority, the LG G Watch will be given out to attendees, and the Moto 360 will be shown off. Additionally another Android Wear smartwatch will be shown off at the conference aside from LG and Motorola’s offerings. Now as to who that is, it’s still a mystery right now. There’s been rumors of it being ASUS, but it could also be Fossil, Acer, HTC, or even Samsung, as they are all on the list of partners for Android Wear.
This year’s Google I/O should be pretty exciting, even if we don’t get a brand new version of Android at the event – like last year’s conference. With Android Wear, Android TV and even Google Glass, there’s bound to be plenty to talk about from Google I/O this year. We will be there as well, so make sure you keep your browser locked to Android Headlines for all the Google I/O coverage you could ever want. As well as exclusive footage from the event.
The LG G Watch should be available to everyone shortly after Google I/O and may even go on sale during the keynote, and if the rumored pricing turns out to be true, it’ll probably sell out pretty quickly. So you may want to have the Google Play Store open during the Keynote. As always, we’ll keep you updated.
