Google Posts Official Android Wear Sign Up Page

Google, well more specifically the Android team, has posted the official sign up page for Android Wear, so you can sign up and get more information about Android Wear as it becomes available. They also have a video there that you can watch about Android Wear. Android Wear is basically Google’s operating system for wearables. It’s based heavily off of Google Now, and even uses Google Now’s UI quite a bit. We’ve seen lots of demos of Android Wear already, and we know that the LG G Watch and the Moto 360 are coming really soon and both are running on Android Wear. Which most of us are pretty excited about, especially the Moto 360. However, Motorola and LG aren’t the only that are making Android Wear devices. On the list of partners are ASUS, Acer, Samsung, HTC, Fossile, and a few others. Pretty much everyone except for Sony and Pebble.

We are pretty sure we’re going to hear more about the Android Wear ecosystem at Google I/O later this month, which we’ll be covering as we do every event, so make sure you keep it locked to Android Headlines for June 25th and 26th. Android Wear is very exciting, especially when we are seeing more and more wearables popping up everywhere. In fact, if we go back to CES in January, you’ll remember that was about all we saw at CES, was wearables from just about every company imaginable.

Hopefully we’ll learn more about Android Wear at Google I/O later this month and see some smartwatches released then. Since the LG G Watch and the Moto 360 are due to be out in Q3 of this year which starts on July 1st. Maybe we’ll see them demoed more in-depth at Google I/O? One can only hope, right? How many of you are excited for Android Wear?
