LG G Watch Specs Leaked out

Today, UPleaks leaked out the specs for the new LG G Watch, which we just learned will be given out at Google I/O in about two weeks time. The LG G Watch is LG’s first Android Wear smartwatch and will be the reference device for Android Wear as well. The most disappointing part of the specs for the LG G Watch is probably the battery life, which is slated at about 36 hours of standby time. It’s also only a 400mAh battery, which is about what we expected from a watch anyways. It’s said to charge in under 2 hours though, which seems a bit slow. We’re looking at a 1.65-inch TFT LCD display which has a resolution of 280×280. It has 4GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. I’m not sure I believe that 4GB of RAM though. It also has dimensions of 37.9 z 46.5 x 9.95 mm, and weighs about 61 grams.

Other features include Time/Date Display, Multi-language, Voice Memo, Memo, Stop Watch, SMS, and Bluetooth 4.0 LE. Not to mention it’s running Android Wear, which is Google’s own operating system for wearables like the LG G Watch and the Moto 360. We’re likely to see even more leaks for the LG G Watch pretty soon as the device should be shown off and given out at Google I/O in about two weeks, so we’ll be sure to keep everyone in the know as we always do around here. Android Wear is going to be the most talked about topic at Google I/O I believe, that and Android TV.

While the battery life is disappointing, I’d take that with a grain of salt, as the Galaxy Gear said a day of battery life but we were able to get about 2-3 days on a charge. So we’ll wait to judge until we get one in hand to review and use. We’re still very much interested in the Android Wear devices coming out this year. How many of you are interested as well?

Update: It appears to be a typo, it has 512MB of RAM instead.
