There were a lot of wearables to come out of CES back in January but one of the more interesting ones we saw had to be the Razer Nabu. The Nabu takes on more of a smartband form than a smartwatch, yet it has an appeal to it that can still provide you with the features you might be looking for in a wearable. The Nabu provides users with intuitive notifications and full control of those notifications through a Razer Nabu companion app that can be downloaded to your Android device. After a subtle vibration comes in to the wristband alerting you of any notifications, you can simply flip the Razer Nabu over by turning your wrist and the private message screen will turn on to reveal your notification or message. Done with your notification or already saw it on your device? Dismiss the notification by gently shaking the Nabu.
Razer originally planned to have the Nabu Beta preview ready before now with a launch soon after as well, but it had to be pushed back to ensure everything was up to snuff. Now that they are ready to move forward they have set up to put the Beta program into motion, and they’re looking for 500 of the most hardcore Razer fans to help them work directly with the engineers by providing feedback on the Razer Nabu and the companion software that goes along with it.

Those 500 lucky testers who are chosen will be able to purchase a Razer Nabu beta unit for merely a buck, yes $1, on July 10th when the beta units will also begin to ship out to testers. Razer is looking for those who are not only hardcore Razer fans but are also highly active on social media channels(being highly active on social media will greatly increase your chances of being selected), so if that describes you perfectly then head to the link below as quickly as you can and sign up. Razer will require that you provide written and detailed reports and feedback on the device during the beta program, so keep in mind that there will be a little bit of work involved with this test. That’s a small price for getting to test out this bad boy early though right?
