Update to T-Mobile Galaxy S5 Devices Resumes Bringing Along The Bug Fixes

T-Mobile Galaxy S5 owners, rejoice!  The update that began rolling out to users but was paused temporarily a week ago is beginning again.  The update, bearing the baseband version: G900TUV1ANE6, is coming in reply to complaints of data speeds being awful after a minor update sent out by T-Mobile a week ago. This update coming to users now is a newer version of the previously buggy update, without the data speed issues in tow this time.  The software, which is only around 18 MB in size, should get the update that T-Mobile intended for everyone on their network, and remedy the data issues that people that already got the last buggy update, giving all users the new, data bug-less version.

The update can be found in your notification tray, when you’re ‘next in line’ to get it from T-Mobile, on schedule.  Or if you want to just get it, especially if you happen to be one of the unlucky that got the data issue-prone update a week ago, go try to pull it from Samsung KIES on your desktop or laptop computer, which has sometimes been the better and faster way to get your updates and bug fixes done. If you happen to be on the software before the bad update, and haven’t gotten this newly updated one, there is no real rush; the update is only to fix the data issues experienced by those that received and accepted the last update before this one, so no need to rush out and spam KIES with your software update check request.

Members on XDA Developers’s forums have been discussing the bad and recalled update since someone received it on the 22nd of May.  The folks over in that thread on XDA’s site have mentioned how the old update seems to bring a snappiness or responsiveness, but then began to have download speed issues and problems sending and receiving SMS and MMS.  One member found that using 4G, without LTE, got decent speeds, so for those affected give that a try. The new update should be available soon, as T-Mobile is responsive with their updates and fixes in a fairly quick manner.
